Does it need plumbing or installation?
No. It's a countertop unit. Fill the 2.5-litre tank, run the drain hose into your sink, plug it in. No plumber, no permanent fixture, no cabinet surgery. Do plan to keep it within hose reach of the sink — that's the one placement constraint.
Do I still have to pre-rinse everything?
Dump leftover milk and knock off solids — that's it. You are not scrubbing anything. If a bottle has been sitting since yesterday with dried formula, run Normal Wash instead of Rapid and skip the guilt.
Am I locked into buying special tablets forever?
It ships with 60 tablets — roughly two months of daily cycles. We recommend them because they're formulated to break down milk fat without leaving residue on food-contact surfaces, and because dish soap foams violently under 22,000 Pa and floods the chamber. Refills are optional, never subscription-locked, and sterilize, dry and storage modes run tablet-free.
Four bottles doesn't sound like much.
Four bottles plus caps, nipples, valves, membranes and pacifiers on the upper tray — or one complete pump kit. That's a full night. And because the chamber holds sterile for 72 hours, you're never racing to unload it to start the next load.
Will my bottle brand actually fit?
Wide-neck and narrow-neck bottles, wearable pump parts, flanges, sippy cups, silicone tableware, teethers and pacifiers. Bottles taller than roughly 9.5 inches may need the top tray lifted out. If yours don't fit, that's what the 30-night trial is for.
Is it loud? Can I run it overnight?
It's quieter than a dishwasher and designed to run while you sleep — that's the entire point of the 72-hour hold. Start it when you go to bed and open sterile bottles at dawn.
Is the plastic safe with steam that hot?
Every food-contact component is BPA-free and rated for repeated 212°F steam cycles — the chamber is engineered around that temperature, not merely surviving it. The transparent dome and racks are removable and rinsable.
How long is shipping, and what if I hate it?
